Fuel Cell / High Pressure Adsorption

Micromeritics Analytical Services now offers fuel cell researchers assistance by measuring hydrogen isotherms to determine the hydrogen capacity of select materials. This hydrogen composition isotherm can be reported from 0.01 atm up to 10 atm. Knowing the hydrogen capacity is critical when selecting the proper materials for further research studies and implementation into fuel cell applications.

Our new high pressure Autochem 2950 allows automatic switching of gases at pressures up to 1000 psi. We also have a new high pressure ASAP 2050 which allows collection of volumetric adsorption isotherms of most gases up to 150 psi. The great benefit of high pressure adsorption is that it allows the engineer to quickly and inexpensively see how a material behaves when exposed to conditions close to reactor conditions. In other words, is this material commercially viable to use in a scale up reactor.
