Micromeritics Analytical Services Aquires Thermostar mass spectrometer for catalyst characterization.
Norcross, Ga. - 1/3/2005 -- Micromeritics Analytical Services (MAS) is pleased to announce that they have recently acquired a Thermostar mass spectrometer from Pfeiffer Vacuum Technology Ag. The mass spectrometer will be used in conjunction with the AutoChem 2920 – our Automated Catalyst Characterization system.
The AutoChem 2920 is capable of performing a variety of experiments including pulse chemisorption, temperature-programmed desorption (TPD), temperature-programmed reduction (TPR), and temperature-programmed oxidation (TPO). When you attach the Thermostar mass spectrometer to the effluent of the AutoChem, the results provide extremely powerful information for any research application.
Micromeritics Analytical Services also has the ability to take digital photographs from an optical microscope. This service can be very useful by itself or when combined with other analyses, especially particle size analysis. Digital Micrographs illustrate how well the sample is dispersed and reports a clear picture of the sample.
